ePharmacy Certificate Management Tool (eCMT)
An electronic certificate is installed on each pharmacy system to ensure security across the ePharmacy infrastructure. The certificate ensures that messages are encrypted and secure as they are transmitted electronically, and it ensures that only authorised systems can send messages. A full Installation and User Guide for the Certificate Management tool is available.
To ensure continued security, the certificates periodically require renewal. A guide to help you renew your certificate is available.
Please note
We can confirm that any site that has not installed the public key element of the re-signing certificate will get a failure message and will be unable to download any new AMS prescription messages until the certificate is installed. MAS messages will be unaffected as will sending of AMS claims.
Sites without the new certificate will notice that any AMS prescription download requests will remain in their message queue with status "requesting". If all your AMS prescription download requests remain at "requesting" following the implementation of the new re-signing certificate on 4th December 2008 you should contact your CP system supplier helpdesk in the first instance to get the certificate installed.
Your system supplier helpdesk may ask you to download the installation file.
