ePharmacy Programme Update
We are delighted the electronic Acute Medication Service (eAMS) is now closing in on completion. The final GP practice and pharmacy sites should be live by the end of March. If any pharmacy is not regularly seeing electronic messages when scanning bar coded GP10s, they should contact the ePharmacy helpdesk as this may identify a fault, rather than a lack of supply.
Of course there will always be a few practices and pharmacies with short term issues (for example, new systems,
changing locations) and we will need to follow best practice until processing AMS becomes ‘the norm’.
The Chronic Medication Service (CMS) is catching up!
All four GP systems have completed their ‘Business Reviews’ this month, which includes having a number of GPs and practice staff review the CMS GP product for eCMS.
