Our efforts in Fife to help manage the demand for repeat prescriptions is going well - thank you for your support. GP practices and community pharmacies, supported by pharmacy teams in GP practices, continue to work together to increase the number of serial prescriptions. Some general practices in Fife have converted as much a 40% of their eligible repeat medication requests over to SRx. This helps to reduce the administrative workload for everyone and also makes it easier for patients to collect their medication. Patients that receive SRx also under go a Care Needs Assessment at their registered pharmacy within the first 16 weeks and annually thereafter - this facilitates more person centred conversations and improved quality of care for the people we serve. It also remains a Scottish Government priority.
