In fact, we are encouraging clients to take away enough for 2 weeks at a time. Be prepared for this and keep stock levels high.

The NEO database should be used to record all transactions as this demographic and transactional information is invaluable to us.

Providing equipment is easy, it all comes packaged together in what we term “one hit kits”.

We have 3 sizes of one hit kits. These are colour coded and relate to needle size.

We also provide water for injection, foil and sharps containers.

For those injecting steroids we have a handy glasses case which is prefilled with equipment for intramuscular injection.

No equipment should be withheld from clients if they do not have returns. Returns can be taken to any IEP in NHS GG&C.

Those clients using the pharmacy for OST should also have confidential and unrestricted access to IEP.

All clients accessing IEP should be offered Naloxone frequently.

All equipment is ordered through Frontier. If unsure of the order process contact John Campbell by email: john.campbell@ggc.scot.nhs.uk or telephone: 0141 303 3931 and he will order.

The pharmacy Addiction Services team contact number is 0141 303 8931.

Responsible Person: Amanda Laird
Last Updated: 19/07/24

The essential points distilled from the Reducing Harm Booklet are: Responsible Person: Amanda LairdLast Updated: 19/07/24

["post-106","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
