{"id":60,"date":"2024-05-16T18:51:11","date_gmt":"2024-05-16T17:51:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.communitypharmacy.scot.nhs.uk\/nhs-ggc\/nhs-borders\/nhs-mail\/"},"modified":"2026-02-18T13:58:58","modified_gmt":"2026-02-18T13:58:58","slug":"nhs-mail","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.communitypharmacy.scot.nhs.uk\/nhs-ggc\/pages\/nhs-mail\/","title":{"rendered":"NHS Mail"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>NHS GG&amp;C Pharmacy Services routinely use email as a quick and effective means of communication with the Community Pharmacy network.&nbsp; Community Pharmacies currently have access to a shared clinical mailbox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Code of Connection for NHS Mail requires that the clinical mailbox is checked&nbsp;<strong><em><u>at least<\/u><\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;twice per day.&nbsp; Patient identifiable information is also sent to the clinical mailbox i.e. HIV\/DAA\/Oncology referrals and Lost\/Stolen Prescription Notifications, along with advance prescriptions relating to Secondary Care referrals (pending the hard copy prescription being posted via Royal Mail).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shared Clinical Mailbox Access<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any regular member of staff can have access to the clinical mailbox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They require an NHS email account to access the clinical mailbox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Locum Pharmacists<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If the regular staff in the store have access to the mailbox, then a Locum Pharmacist should not need to&nbsp;be added.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If they are working in the store longer term and would like access to the mailbox, then the Manager should follow the procedure described below (the Locum cannot log a ticket themselves &#8211; this must be done by the Community Pharmacy Manager.&nbsp; Please ensure you log a relevant mobile number for the Locum member of staff).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Remember to log a ticket for them to be removed when they are no longer working in the store.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ServiceNOW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>N.B. Service Now does not support queries relating to &#8216;NEO&#8217; or &#8216;PCR&#8217;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For NEO &#8211; please contact&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.communitypharmacy.scot.nhs.uk\/nhs-ggc\/contacts\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"47\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ADRS Team<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For PCR &#8211; please contact ePharmacy Helpdesk&nbsp;&lt;<a href=\"mailto:nss.psdhelp@nhs.scot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nss.psdhelp@nhs.scot<\/a>&gt;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The process to access support for NHS Mail (including the setting up of accounts and the management of access to the clinical mailbox) has now changed.&nbsp; All Community Pharmacies will have received an email into their clinical mailbox describing how to access the new service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 1st January 2023, &#8220;Service Now&#8221; should be used by Community Pharmacies contacting eHealth IT Support.&nbsp; Each site has had one &#8216;Service Now&#8217; account created with the details issued to the shared mailbox.&nbsp; If you do not know the login details for your site, please follow the below steps to reset the password:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/nhsscotland.service-now.com\/ehealth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Service Portal &#8211; eHealth IT Service Portal (service-now.com)<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8216;forgot your password&#8217;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your username &#8211; THIS IS YOUR FULL SHARED MAILBOX ADDRESS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your username again (Personal Data Verification Email) &#8211; THIS IS YOUR FULL SHARED MAILBOX ADDRESS<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8216;next&#8217; and follow the steps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You should then receive an automated email into your shared mailbox.&nbsp; Follow the steps within the email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(If you have any problems with these steps, please contact the Service Now Administrator at:<\/em>&nbsp;ggc.servicenowaccesscs@ggc.scot.nhs.uk<em>&nbsp;stating your Name, Contractor Code and Contact Telephone Number)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below is a summary of the process which will replace the IT Helpdesk function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.communitypharmacy.scot.nhs.uk\/media\/6525\/service-now.png?width=0&amp;height=0\" alt=\"Service Now\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.communitypharmacy.scot.nhs.uk\/media\/6525\/service-now.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The following YouTube videos provide further information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OW3wveBbXrM\" target=\"_blank\">Service Now &#8211;
