Important Update – October 2023<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For many years the NHS Lothian Contracts office (PCCO) has requested that Pharmacists return to them the signed copies of PGDs to be saved on file here at the Health Board. Following a review of processes and procedures, it has been agreed that NHS Lothian no longer require these. Going forward, you must sign the PGD and retain your copy as per professional and legal requirements, but there is no need to send it to the Health Board. This includes both national and local NHS Lothian PGDs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update January 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coming soon<\/strong> – Hydrocortisone Cream \/ Ointment PGD for Inflammatory Skin Conditions (for those not eligible to access treatment under standard PFS)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A national PGD has been developed – this will be reviewed and approved by NHS Lothian’s PGD Committee and we expect it to be published and available in March 26. Updates will be shared via CPDT weekly comms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
