The framework allows community pharmacy to manage and deliver pharmacy-led services from their Patient Medication Record (PMR) system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CPUS forms&nbsp;must be kept in a locked drawer for emergency\/back up use ONLY if you encounter technical problems when trying to dispense electronically via UCF.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UCF&nbsp;will&nbsp;allow reimbursement from electronic claiming only.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pharmacy First\/Smoking Cessation\/Gluten Free\/EHC and CPUS will be on a single form and processed via the PMR.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please read the FAQs on the NSS website&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nss.nhs.scot\/pharmacy-services\/pharmacy-services\/using-the-universal-claims-framework-ucf\/\">here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">September 2023 Update<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our colleagues at NSS have updated the UCF claim matrix which is a helpful tool when it comes to making sure you are claiming correctly for services.&nbsp;&nbsp;It&#8217;s really important you put through items on the correct UCF category; if they are not, they won&#8217;t be reimbursed and the pharmacy will also miss out on any related service fee!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the following link&nbsp;to see the latest version of the UCF Claiming matrix on the NSS website&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nss.nhs.scot\/pharmacy-services\/pharmacy-services\/using-the-universal-claims-framework-ucf\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions surrounding UCF please get in touch with the Community Pharmacy Development Team at:\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:loth.CPDT@nhs.scot\">loth.CPDT@nhs.scot<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u200b\u200b<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"nhsuk-card__description\">The Universal Claim Framework (UCF) supports electronic claiming for pharmacy-led services.
