Public Health Service – Bridging Contraception

Community Pharmacists are able to provide a 3 month supply of Desogestrel under PGD which is a progestogen-only pill for contraception sometimes called the mini pill.  This can be done either following an EHC consultation or as a standalone temporary supply at a patient’s request.  Please be aware that many Desogestrel products contain soyabean oil and should be avoided in patients with a soya allergy.
