UPDATE – Electronic Claiming Workbook (ECW)

ECW Version 3.6 – This update reflects the new rates which apply to the following service provisions within NHSGGC:

  • Advice to Care Homes
  • Exacerbation of COPD
  • HIV
  • Out of Hours Call Out
  • Palliative Care
  • Rota Services (including Christmas and New Year provision)

This increase will be applied to services delivered from April 2024.

Please ensure you are using Microsoft Excel Version 2013 or later when completing the workbook. This is required for the drop‑down selection function to operate correctly when choosing a product.

Points to Note:

  • Please complete all sections of the Cover Sheet before entering data into any individual sheet. This will auto-populate relevant fields reducing workload for Contractors.
  • We have introduced drop-down lists across various claims.  This should cut down on input errors and make completion of the ECW easier for Contractors.  Please use these where they are provided.
  • There is no need to claim for attendance at Palliative Care Training events – payments will be made automatically using the attendance sheets from the session.

Please ensure that you are using the most up-to-date Version before submitting your ECW. Claims submitted on previous versions may be returned unpaid. A User Guide can be found here.  If you are in any doubt about how to complete the Workbook, please refer to the User Guide before submitting. Failure to complete properly could result in delay to processing (and payment) of claims.

NHSGGC Recording of PGDs – NO LONGER REQUIRED

From 1st April 2026 the Microsoft Form used for recording signed PGDs will be removed from our website. Pharmacists will no longer be required to complete it.

Pharmacists are covered under a PGD once they have accepted the professional obligations by signing the relevant authorisation sheet. There is no regulatory or legal requirement for copies of signed authorisation sheets to be submitted to GGC or for confirmation of signing to be provided.
