NHS Mail

E-mail is now used routinely as a quick and effective method of communication throughout NHS Fife.  Community Pharmacies all have access to an NHS Mail Generic Mailbox.  As various types of correspondence are sent to this mailbox Pharmacists should make sure that it is checked at least twice to three times a day.  This will ensure that Community Pharmacists are kept up to date with current information.

To help make best use of the generic mailbox please contact fife.gmsfacilitators@nhs.scot for any of the following:-

  • NHS Mail training
  • Request an account
  • Update list of staff able to access the generic account
  • Password resets for individual accounts

With the ever increasing volume of email communications being sent to the Generic pharmacy mailbox,  this is a reminder that you should ensure that access to your generic mailbox is always sufficiently covered.  Should you require additional staff access please send an email from the generic mailbox with the information below to fife.gmsfacilitators@nhs.scot for a NHS mail account and to arrange access accordingly.
