CPs should make every effort to secure stock to ensure continuity of supply.  Should you experience difficulties which might disrupt a patient’s treatment, contact should be made with the ARV Pharmacy Team at the Brownlee (0141-211-3383) who will be able to assist if all avenues have been exhausted.

Alcura – Gilead Order Form

Ordering ARV Medication from Alcura  

We have been made aware that there have been some communication problems when trying to order generic medication from the Alcura call centre. 

Alcura have requested that we use the product brand name and not the generic name when ordering items via the call centre; as an example, we should ask for Truvada, and not the generic description that appears on the prescription.

As the brand name is significantly more expensive than the generic, the Pharmacy will be reimbursed when ordering the brand name product.
