Continence Care

Continence Care Service (elms2)

On 5 June 2023, a new Continence Care system is being launched for all pharmacies in East Lothian, Midlothian and Edinburgh only.  This system is administered by Edinburgh Council (not the NHS), but elms2 will be used by NHS Lothian Continence Care to send incontinence requests to pharmacies (instead of the current emails to pharmacy shared mailboxes).

elms2 will also make it much easier for pharmacies to view these requests and send claims back without having to worry about posting paper forms off.  More supporting information and a training video about how to use this system can also be found here on NHS Lothian's intranet:

  • For any patient order queries, email continence.care@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk or telephone 0131 537 4572 - service is open Monday to Friday: 9am to 3pm (closed between 12.15 and 1pm)
