The interactive NHS Scotland Smoking Cessation Service module aims to:
- support pharmacy teams in delivering an effective smoking cessation service.
- update pharmacy teams on developments in smoking cessation, including updated evidence on the use of varenicline and comparative success that can be achieved with different pharmacotherapies for smoking cessation.
The MCQ Assessment: smoking cessation (MCQ1) assessment is for all pharmacy staff. Pharmacists should complete this to deliver the service.
Registration with Turas/NES is free to all health workers. Approximate time of completion of both is 1-2 hours.
