The NHS Highland Pharmacy Champions Network plays a key role in supporting Community Pharmacy teams across the region. Pharmacy Champions act as local ambassadors, providing peer support, sharing best practice, promoting service development, and helping to strengthen communication between Community Pharmacies and NHS Highland. They provide advice on community pharmacy services, support quality improvement initiatives, and assist with the implementation of new developments and public health campaigns.
Pharmacy Champions bring valuable knowledge and experience from frontline practice and work closely with NHS Highland’s Community Pharmacy Services Team to support contractors and pharmacy teams. Their expertise helps ensure that Community Pharmacies are equipped to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care while continuing to develop and enhance local services.
