The Care Portal, also known as the North of Scotland Care Portal, is a digital system that provides NHS Highland, NHS Grampian, NHS Orkney and NHS Shetland staff with a single, unified view of patient information from multiple health and care IT systems, enhancing patient care and safety.
Key Features of Care Portal include:
- A unified patient viewpoint
- Access across other disciplines
- Ability to enhance decision making
- Access to Emergency Care Summary (ECS) and SCI Store Results
- Future development opportunities
NHS Highland and NHS Grampian have been working on the Care Portal Access Project over a number of years and will soon be at the point of delivery to our Community Pharmacies in NHS Highland. The initial rollout will be for our Independent Prescribers in our Pharmacy First Plus sites. We hope future development will provide additional functionality within NoS Care Portal.
