Vaccinations & Travel Health Service

Community pharmacies within NHS Highland play an important role in delivering vaccination and travel health services, improving access to preventative healthcare across our diverse and geographically varied communities.

Pharmacy teams support the safe delivery of a range of vaccinations in line with national and local service specifications, as well as providing advice and guidance to patients on travel health, including recommended vaccinations and preventative measures.

Contractors must ensure that all services are delivered by appropriately trained and authorised staff, in accordance with current clinical guidance, PGDs, and governance requirements. This helps to ensure safe, effective, and consistent care for patients accessing these services.
